Daniel González was born in Argentina in 1963; he lives and works between New York and Verona.
His work stems from research into the ritual of celebration and the trespassing between categories; it takes the form of public projects called “ephemeral architecture” inspired by Bernini’s Baroque machines, banner-painting in hand-sewn sequins, and wearable one-off pieces presented in high-impact performances. González creates delirious worlds, full of energy, spaces of freedom where existing conventions collapse.

He has also exhibited at the Zabludowicz Collection in London, the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich (DE), Viafarini (Milan), the Neuer Kunstverein in Aachen, the second Prague Biennial and Manifesta 7 Trento/Bolzano, the galleries Studio La Città (Verona), Diana Lowenstein (Miami, USA), Boccanera Gallery (Milan and Trento) and Spencer Brownstone (New York City).

His works are included in several private collections, including Zabludowicz Collection (London), Fondation pour l’art contemporain Claudine et Jean-Marc Salomon (France), Luciano Benetton (Venice), Patrizia Pepe (Prato) and Tom Patchett (Los Angeles).
